How does the subscription work?

If you decide to take out a subscription, then you already have one worry off your mind! You don't have to think about reordering Equine 74 Gastric because it will be delivered to your doorstep in Germany and Austria - or even better - to your stable door.


Step 1: When purchasing the Equine 74 Gastric bestseller (4-month ration/6 kg pellets or powder), select the "subscribe and save!" option to receive your selected Equine 74 Gastric product regularly. You can change the default delivery interval of 4 months at any time after your order.


Step 2: In your personal customer account you can easily view your subscription order and adjust it to your needs.


Step 3: The subscription order will be processed automatically and the respective amount will only be debited from your payment method when the new package is dispatched. Within Germany and Austria, your subscription delivery is free of shipping costs!

The Equine 74 subscription is completely flexible and you can adjust the frequency of deliveries to suit you. By taking out a subscription, you can save money compared to the single price! There is no minimum contract for the subscription and you can cancel it at any time.

How much does the subscription cost?

As part of the subscription, a 6 kg ration of Equine 74 Gastric Pellets or Powder costs 206.72 Euro. You can set the delivery schedule to suit you. Payment is made per package that you receive.

How can I change or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions can be managed through your online account. On the Manage Subscription page, you can cancel or skip your next delivery.

Is the subscription also available for Equine 74 Stomach Calm Relax?

At the moment the subscription is only valid for the 6 kg version of Equine 74 Gastric Powder or Pellets.

My horse is sold in the subscription year. What happens to the subscription then?

No need to worry. You can manage your subscription conveniently in your customer account. Whether you want to pause, choose a different delivery date or cancel - everything is possible.

My horse suddenly stopped eating the powder or the pellets. What now?

No problem. We simply replace your existing ration with another variant of Equine 74 Gastric. The exchange delivery is of course free of shipping costs. And if your horse is a bit fussy about the new feed, we have numerous feeding tips from our customers, who are always happy to share their experiences with us. And we are happy to share them with you.

Equine 74 Gastric vs. Omeprazole

When should I use Omeprazole instead of Equine 74 Gastric?

If you suspect your horse has ulcers, call your veterinarian. They will be able to properly diagnose the problem and determine if your horse requires treatment with a prescription medication such as Omeprazole. Equine 74 Gastric IS NOT a treatment for ulcers. Once your horse has been successfully treated for ulcers, use the Equine 74 Gastric supplement to help maintain healthy acid levels in your horse’s stomach.

What is the difference between Equine 74 Gastric and Omeprazole?

Omeprazole inhibits the proton pump that produces stomach acid. Equine 74 neutralizes stomach acid, acting as a natural buffer. Instead of halting the production of stomach acid, Equine 74 buffers the excess acid caused by stress related lifestyle factors many horses face - making it an excellent way to maintain healthy gastric acid levels.

Can I use Equine 74 Gastric and Omeprazole safely together?

Yes. If your horse is recovering from ulcers, we recommend starting Equine 74 during the last 1 to 2 weeks of treatment with Omeprazole. Continue using Equine 74 Gastric on a daily base for 6 weeks to 4 months. Or continue using Equine 74 as a longer term solution for maintaining healthy acid levels in the stomach.

What are the dosage and application guidelines?

Feeding recommendation: 1-2 x per day mixed with your horse’s grain.

  • Horses and Ponies ≤ 300 kg = 25-30 g 
  • Horses and Ponies ≤ 600 kg = 50-60 g 
  • Horses and Ponies > 600 kg = 60-100 g 

1 measuring scoop = 25 gram

How safe is Gastric74 Equine to give to my horse on a long term basis?

Equine 74 is safe to give your horse on a long term basis. It was developed specifically to help high performance horses handle the stresses of regular training, travel, and showing. Many of our customers have been using Equine 74 as an everyday supplement for years.

Can I use Equine 74 Gastric as a cure?

Equine 74 is not a cure for gastric ulcers in horses. We suggest consulting your veterinarian if you suspect ulcers in your horse.

What are the ingredients in and composition of Equine74 Gastric?

EQUINE 74® GASTRIC IS A SUPPLEMENTARY FEED FOR HORSES AND PONIES THAT ABSORBS EXCESS GASTRIC ACID CAUSED BY FEEDING AND STRESS.

Composition:
PELLET: Calcified seaweed Lithothamnion Glaciale (Maerl), magnesium oxide, linseed meal, linseed oil, additive: flavouring vanilla (0.8%).

POWDER: Calcified seaweed Lithothamnion Glaciale (Maerl), magnesium oxide, linseed meal, additive: vanilla flavouring (0.8 %).
Only in powder Live yeast: Saccharomyces cerevisiae MUCL 39885 (4b1710) 6.0 x 10^11 CFU / kg

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS:
1-2 x daily - we recommend adding Equine 74® Gastric to the usual feed. Equine 74® Gastric should be given over a period of at least 4-6 weeks.

Equine 74® Gastric is doping-free and does not contain any substances that violate the Anti-Doping and Medication Control Rule (ADMR) of the German Equestrian Federation (FN), FEI and Jockey Club.

Equine 74 Stomach Calm Relax

When to feed Equine 74 Stomach Calm Relax?

The paste is suitable for many situations where the horse is known to be prone to stress. With some horses these are: Loading, training in new places, a tournament, the blacksmith. Here there are countless situations that can cause both minor and major excitement. In order to increase the well-being and to buffer the developing stomach acid and to cover it with the developing gel ,the paste is given in time 5 - 15 minutes before the situation.

How to feed the paste in combination with the other Equine 74 Gastric products?

Equine 74 Stomach Calm Relax is to be understood as an addition, i.e. you feed it as described very specifically before the situations. The daily feeding of Equine 74 Gastric pursues a different goal, here it is about continuously buffering the excess gastric acid.

Feeding recommendation

We recommend to feed 30 g for one horse (approx. 450 - 600 kg). Best 10-30 minutes before the event (departure, tournament start, training etc.)

The tasty paste is administered directly into the horse's mouth.

Common Questions

Will my horse like the taste?

We formulated the supplement with a vanilla flavoring to make it as palatable as possible for the horse. Most horses love the taste but if you have a picky eater start with a small amount (10-15 grams) in his regular feed for the first few days.

Will the magnesium in the supplement cause my horse to calm down too much?

No. After regular use of Equine 74 you may see a noticeable difference in your horse’s behavior. Many of our customers have mentioned that their horses are more relaxed and have better concentration without the discomfort of excess stomach acid.

Will I see a difference in my horse in the first 10 days?

Your horse may experience some relief in the first week but most customers see and feel a difference in their horses after 4 to 6 weeks. These changes may include:

  • Shinier coat
  • Increased muscle development
  • Ability to concentrate better during work
  • Reduction in unwanted behavioral problems

Can I use Equine 74 Gastric during a show? Is it doping free?

Yes.It is free of any banned substances prohibited during recognized shows - FEI.
